The real cause of racism

We are not born hating each other.

Racism is learned

If you put two toddlers in a playground, they will play. Without any regard for skin colour or any other physical difference the next toddler may have. There are examples of this in all races. This is before they learn to understand words. Before they can comprehend speech. Before they can are faced with the cause of racism.

The people who have influence over them then start to point out a negative aspect in the different toddler. As they grow, more and more negative speech gets planted into their developing brain. Young children are impressionable. They take on the form of what they see and experience. Soon they become the negative nature they are being exposed to. This then spreads.

What the cause of racism tells us about ourselves

If we can learn to hate, we can learn to love. This love includes loving ourselves too. Love cannot flow from you, if you do not have it for yourself in the first place. Many do not have this love for themselves. They have not accepted themselves and can therefore also not accept the next person. And you cannot blame. How can you give what you do not have?

What the bible says

Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ - Matthew 37-39

When you obey the first commandment, loving your neighbour becomes easier. This is so as when you submit your heart, soul and mind to love for the Creator of the universe you are changed. God enters, God is love. Love enters. When love is present all senses tender. They become receptive to God's nature; which is love. Love once settled can only spread. I go further this in this post:
